Photographs and digital stills can be combined with
animation to give dynamic moving sequences that help to
reinforce messages and to link the product to its application.
Although the examples pictured here show 'flat'
photos, images can be 'moulded and shaped' onto and around animated
objects to give a seamless integration with the animation. The
intelligent application of 3D can really help bring photos alive and
provide an excellent visual link to real world applications.
Most resolutions of photographs are suitable for
integration into animation sequences. It's not usually
necessary to have the very high resolution photography that would be
needed for print applications.
Video sequences can also be integrated with animation
sequences - either as part of the animation frame and combined with
the animation elements or included as a full frame video sequence
that is edited into the presentation - a typical example being a
'video factory tour' to compliment the animated product.
